Starting January 1, 2012 I will be taking the 365 day photo challenge. The challenge is to take photos everyday and post the best one. I was encouraged to take this challenge by a friend that did the challenge for 2011. I can't wait to see what great photo opportunities come my way in the coming year! These are my photos. #8 you get two pics today
A couple of years ago a dear friend of mine, Lynda Lopez was diagnosed with diabetes. She has done a great job getting it under control and I am very proud of her! In the process of learning to control this disease she became involved with the Juvinile Diabetes foundation. Because she is a dear friend and because I work in the medical field and have seen what diabetes can do if not controlled correctly, I also became involved. And, for the past two years we have participated in the JDRF walk to raise money against Juvinile Diabetes. This year we are trying something new. We are having a book drive, selling crocheted dishcloths,homemade pepper Jelly and Apple Butter. To order Pepper Jelly or Apple butter go to Lyndivasposse@yahoo.com. Lynda and I made the Pepper Jelly yesterday and today she showed up today with the bottles all decorated! Great Job Lynda!

I had a smile from ear to ear when I went on there and read your challenge comment. Thank you Kathy for being my #1 supporter with all of my crazy thoughts. Your idea of doing the apple butter and pepper jelly with the book drive, was spot on a perfect idea. Both you and Gaylin donating your time to help get some extra money for a cause that has become so important to me... means everything.
