Starting January 1, 2012 I will be taking the 365 day photo challenge. The challenge is to take photos everyday and post the best one. I was encouraged to take this challenge by a friend that did the challenge for 2011. I can't wait to see what great photo opportunities come my way in the coming year! These are my photos. #148 Unexpected guests
It was a great day today, and I got some good pics, but the best is always the one you don't expect. Greg and I went for a little ride, and when I got home I was unloading the car and taking out garbage. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a bird with yellow on it. As I turned to look, I found it was a mother duck with her little ducklings. .
This is an odd little find because there is not any ponds of water that are close to my house. How this mama and her little ducklings got here is truly a mystery. Just to think if I had avoided taking out the garbage, I probably would have missed this picture.
