About 4 years ago we were landscaping our front yard, and this little orange kitten started hanging around. We noticed he was sleeping on the seat of the ATV's under the canopy at night. Well,. anyone who knows me well knows I love animals and so I did exactly what you would expect me to do. I started feeding him. And I named him. Morris.
At the time we had a Rottweiler named Diamond. Sweetest thing you ever saw. She got along Great with Morris, and Morris became a regular visitor. He would hang out with me in the back yard while I worked in the garden, and leave little presents on my doorstep to repay me for the food and affection I gave him. ( to the dismay of salesmen who would knock on my door. )
As time went on I started noticing another little Kitten. Jet black with white mustache and white feet. He and I became fast friends and I named him Mittens. For several months these kittens hung around.
Unfortunately, Our Rottweiller was getting on in years and we knew we would have to put her down soon. . Broke my heart. I still miss her sweet little face. We decided that we had to get another dog. We have always had one. Enter.... Miss Abigail our doberman.
Abby was not mean to the kitty's. She only wanted to play. Eventually they grew tired of her "playfulness" and moved on...... To the house next door.
Sometimes though like today, when I am out in my yard doing yardwork they will wander over and visit me. ( As long as there is not a dog about.)
I had taken my camera out with me , so we had a little photo session.
Morris was quite cooperative.
Mittens... Not so much. He didn't like the sounds my camera was making and skitted away.
