#189 Saturday Morning Yardwork

I know most of you think I am crazy, even my husband doesn't understand it, but I really like waking up early on a Saturday morning and heading out for some serious yardwork.  I think that part of it is I am so busy during the week, that I don't get to spend alot of time outside.  A quick watering in the garden because I know the plants are going to wilt and die, pick a couple vegetables and that is about all I have time for.   So.. call it my time but it is still cool enough out that I am comfortable and I am not rushed so I have time to pull a few weeds, dehead some old blossoms and just relax and enjoy.
This year I have really been taken with the lillies.  In fact I added a couple new ones to the yard.

I found this pretty daylilly in a corner of the garden center at wallmart.  Kind of wilted and forgotten.   I  had to take it home.  For the price they were asking it wouldn't have been a great loss to me if it didn't survive.  But with a little tender care I have been greatly rewarded.
This is a Lilly I planted last fall. I love the color of it's petals.

The last two pictures are of the same Lilly. The first picture I took and then realized I forgot to change my ISO from some night pictures I took a few days ago.So I changed the ISO and retook the picture.  But I kind of liked the way the first one turned out.  It shows how the morning sun was just shining on it.
I saw this Lilly at Home Depot, and even though it was more than I wanted to pay I just had to have it.  The color is beautiful and the blooms are bigger than my hand!  Nice addition.  Cost of Lilly: 14.97,  Making Kathy Smile: Priceless.
