#163 Strawbana Jam

My mom was a great cook, and I remember her making jams and jellies when I was growing up.   Several years after she passed away I gave it a try and got hooked.   I love making apple butter, pepper jelly and one of my favorite Strawberry Banana jam..

For the past 3 years I have been involved with the JDRF  (Juvinile Diabetes Research Foundation)  walkathon.  I got involved with this foundation when a good friend of mine, Lynda Lopez found out she had diabetes and asked if I would sponser her.  I told her not only would I sponser her but I would walk with her.   The first year we set a goal, and ended up exceeding it.  Last year the same thing.   So this year we upped our goal again.

We decided to try to come up with some fundraisers to help boost our donation, and we  decided why not make some Jam and Jelly and sale it with all  proceeds going to JDRF.  Then our friend Gaylin decided she would donated some of her crocheted dish cloths for the cause.

So if you would like to buy some Apple Butter $5 a jar , Pepper Jelly $5 a jar, Strawberry Banana Jam $6 a jar or would like to get some of the colorful and oh so useful dishcloths For $1.50 each. .  Please let me know.    Or if you would just like to donate to our cause, all donations are appreciated, and Lynda's work will match your donation.  The walk is August 25th,  You can contact me at kat.riddle60@yahoo.com. Thanks ; )
