When we rescued Little Girl from the Humane Society they didn't know her official birthday. They had her listed as 1 year 6 months old, and since Abby was six months old when we got Little Girl we made it her Birthday too. Only a Year older. We looked at a couple other dogs and were about to leave when we spotted this cute little spotted dog. She too owns a piece of my heart.
I was thinking about how they each came into our lives and how much love and joy they have brought us. They love to just be with us. Go with us wherever we go.
Little girl gets up with me in the morning. she is very quiet so as not to wake anyone and comes and lays on the bed in my computer room while I check the morning news etc. It is our quiet time together. I will often stop what I am doing and love on her. Tell her how pretty she is and how much see means to me.
Abby loves to play. She greets me at the door at the end of the day with a toy in her mouth and a look of hope on her face. How can I resist that. I will look at her and say. "Where did you get that wonderful toy. Someone must love you to give you such a thing. I want it, give it to me..." and the chase is on.
They are with me right now. Little girl sleeping on the bed next to me and Abby lying at my feet. How very blessed am I? " Happy Birthday Girls let's go get a Birthday treat!"
